About the proposed project :

Venture Center wishes to refurbish its facility for proposed GLP Center for

Biopharma Analysis or equivalent aiming to support startups and entrepreneurs

• A refurbished facility will aid in new space creation for upcoming GLP Center for Biopharma Analysis
• Facility will aid new service offering for Venture Center
• A refurbished facility will help us to raise further grants for the new service offering

About GLP Center for Biopharma Analysis

Venture Center aims to build an open-access, resource center for BioPharma analysis. The GLP compliant facility - will provide a ‘one-stop shop’ for complete structural and functional characterization of biotherapeutics. With our current calculations, for Indian biosimilar developers, the facility will be able to reduce the time of analysis by ~60% and cost of analysis by ~40%. We envision this center to become a resource center for biopharma characterization that will create long lasting value for bioentrepreneur and industry. This resource center will also actively organize workshops and training programs to train and develop necessary skill sets among young researchers. Pune has seen exponential growth in the start-up activity in the life sciences, biotech and health care domains. Such facility will further enhance the start up activity in the region.

INTERNATIONAL BIOTECH PARK LTD (IBPL)

IBPL is joint initiative of The Chatterjee Group (TCG) and MIDC. This 8 acre Park is dedicated to Biotechnology. This is the largest fully functional biotech park in India, which provides specialized space for R & D as well as for manufacturing purposes.
