We recently hosted an exciting summer camp for 19 high school students (grades 7-10) to ignite their interest in chemistry through engaging and hands-on activities.
The camp featured a variety of fun experiments, interactive lessons, and creative projects that demonstrated various concepts of chemistry in an enjoyable way. During the practical sessions, students performed experiments on neutralization reactions, redox reactions, and separated candy-based food colors using paper chromatography. They also experimented with liquid nitrogen to understand pressure, temperature, and other behaviors of cryogenic substances.
The camp also included a quiz, with the winners winning quirky keychains made in our very own prototyping facility - protoshop! The event concluded with a brief on numerous career options in chemistry and allied domains, for our young budding scientists!
